Pacific Coast OrigamiUSA Conference 2009

Robert Lang, outre ses énormes capacités de créateur et d'auteur, est aussi membre du bureau de l'association OrigamiUSA.
Il annonce sur THE LIST la date et le lieu du prochain "Pacific Coast OrigamiUSA Conference 2009" (prononcez Peacock,avec un jeu de mots British).
Cette sorte de convention n'a lieu que tous les 2 ans, et fait pendant à la convention de New-York, elle étant annuelle sur la côte EST.

La dernière édition 2007 avait eu lieu à Vancouver, Canada, organisée par Joseph Wu, et assortie d'une expo grand public.

En 2009, c'est San Francisco, très belle ville. Le nombre de participants est de l'ordre de 200-250, si j'ai bonne mémoire.
Les invités sont pour la plupart de jeunes inconnus (gag) :
Peter Engel, Robert J. Lang, Linda T. Mihara, Meenakshi Mukerji, Bernie Peyton, Makoto Yamaguchi.

Ce message et ces photos n'ont rien à voir avec le PCOC,
mais on est toujours sur le Pacifique, en plein milieu même,
à Honolulu. Sortez les paréos, youkoulélés et les fleurs magnifiques !
Des photos très chouettes d'une animation destinée au grand public
organisée par des membres d'OrigamiUSA.
Il y a même 1.000 grues en tissu, avis aux amateurs...

I want to share my Picasa web album on the photos I took at the 2009 Honolulu Festival.
I had a great time teaching the public along with Won Park, Aimee
Miura and Nicole Manfredi. Origami USA sponsored the vinyl banner,
the square kami for teaching and some of the 2007 dragon models.
Hideaki Yoshizawa (no relation to Akira Yoshizawa) flew all the way
from Fukuoka, Japan to teach his Daijayama, dragon head.

Mark your calendars for the 16th annual Honolulu Festival: March 12-14, 2010.
